Lady Owls Soar to Victory Over the Boles Lady Hornets 🏐💙
JV set the tone early with nonstop energy, strong communication, and teamwork, earning a 2-set win. From start to finish, they played with hustle and determination.
Varsity followed with an exciting 4-set victory, matching that same intensity. The girls stepped up for each other, fought for every ball, and kept the momentum rolling with heart and effort.
Both teams showed what Lady Owls volleyball is all about, hustle, heart, and teamwork. Every serve, save, hit, and word of encouragement made a difference.
So proud of these Lady Owls for competing together and getting it done! 🦉💙🖤🤍
The Yantis Ag Department announces that eggs from our poultry project are again available to the community for free. To ensure their freshness in the heat, all eggs are refrigerated after daily collection
until placed in the outside cooler, which will be stocked with ice. Eggs are free to take, but donations to feed and care for our chickens are welcome.

The Yantis High School Ag Department gives a huge thanks to David and Sheila Moore for their donation of two 10-foot HVLS fans to our ag shop. The temperature in the shop is about the same as it is outside, but the airflow from these fans makes it much more comfortable for our students to learn and work there. Thank you for caring about our ag mech students and staff!
After suffering a hard fought loss to start the morning off in Detroit, the Lady Owls didn't let that stop them from battling back for a late morning win.
Their 11:00 win over Clarksville secured them 3rd place in the Detroit Eagle Volleyball Tournament, and they brought home a 3rd place plaque! 💙

The Lady Owls battled hard tonight in Greenville TX. After getting into their groove they defeated the Lady Panthers of PTAA in a clean sweep.
"It was a good time watching the girls play smart and as a team" says Coach Garcia.

Yantis High School was awarded a $500 grant today by Carter BloodCare through their Impact Awards Program.
The Impact Awards program rewards schools that participate in supporting our community blood supply by hosting blood drives with Carter BloodCare.
Yantis High School was awarded this grant for hosting three blood drives and collecting 46 units, which provided 138 local patients with life-saving blood products.
Yantis ISD is thankful for the opportunity to collaborate with Carter BloodCare and all the students, staff, and community members who donated to help save lives in our community.
Our next blood drive is scheduled for September 30th and is open to the public. Sign up by texting CBCDonate to 999-777

Parents, all transportation changes must be made before 2:40 pm. This gives us ONE HOUR before dismissal to get the changes made.
This includes changes to bus transportation, car rider, pickup by another person, or any other end-of-day transportation plans.
Thank you for helping us keep dismissal safe and running smoothly! 💙
Note: On early release days, the cut-off time will be 11:30 am.

We are so excited to see you all back on Monday morning!
Elementary students will now be dropped off at the front of the cafeteria - gates will open at 7:25 am. On Monday and Tuesday, parents are welcome to walk in with their child. We do ask that after the morning announcements, you give goodbye hugs in the cafeteria and allow your student to head off with their teachers.
MS/HS will enter through the gym entrance like last year - doors open at 7:30 am.
Pick-up procedures are the same as the end of last year - in front of the cafeteria. Please remain in your cars for your student to be safely brought out to your car by a staff member.

Today, we officially kicked off the 2026-2027 school year at Yantis ISD with our guest speaker, Dr. Diana Freeman, who challenged us to discover our TRUE Colors and reminded us that each of us brings unique strengths and talents that help our students and district succeed.
Our Superintendent Dr. James Cowley shared our theme for the year, Mission Possible, and reminded us that together, there is no challenge too great when we work as one team with a shared purpose.
A huge thank you to the Yantis Masonic Lodge for providing a wonderful breakfast to start our day and to City National Bank for sponsoring a delicious BBQ lunch prepared by Andy and Mary Lou Wright. Your generosity and support mean so much to our staff and school community!
