Important Transportation Reminder:

For the safety of our students and to avoid any confusion, bus drivers are not permitted to accept transportation changes through text messages, handwritten notes, or verbal messages from parents.

If your child needs a change in their afternoon bus drop-off location, you must notify the campus office so an official bus pass or note can be issued and provided to the bus driver. Please contact your child’s campus at 903-383-2462 for any and all changes. The cutoff time for transportation changes is 3 PM, unless there is an emergency.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep all students safe and ensure they arrive at the correct location.

Important School Update for Parents

Due to last week’s weather-related closures and the resulting missed school days, we will be adding 10 minutes to the end of each school day. In addition, the early release days on March 6 and May 22 will be changed to full school days in order to make up instructional time.

🕓 The dismissal bell will now ring at 4:00 PM.

Attention Alumni!

Over the years, Yantis High School has honored excellence in athletic and academic achievement with the display of trophies and banners. However, over the years, some student teams and individuals have not been given that recognition.

We have worked to correct that and will be unveiling 59 athletic banners on Sunday, February 1st, at 4:30 pm, right before our alumni game. If you were a member of any of the following teams, we would like to recognize you there and give you the opportunity to take your photo with your banner before they are hung proudly in our gym.

We will also unveil two new banners honoring Academic UIL State Competitors to be hung in the Cafeteria.

The road conditions and temperatures are not working in our favor, and out of an abundance of caution with the safety of our students and staff in mind, we’ve made the decision to close.

MS games for Monday, January 26th, have been rescheduled for Thursday, January 29th, in Yantis vs Avinger. There will be 2 games starting at 5 pm.

Due to a lot of uncertain variables surrounding tomorrow's games because of weather and shortage of officials, tomorrow's middle school games at Sulphur Bluff have been canceled

In an abundance of caution, Yantis ISD will dismiss school for all students (car and bus riders) at 3:05 PM on Friday, January 23rd. This should allow all buses to return to school before the anticipated arrival of freezing rain, set to begin at 4:00 PM.

Varsity Girls will play in Boles at 3:00 on Friday, January 23rd, with Varsity Boys to follow (NO JV).

What a great night for our Yantis Owls and Lady Owls! 🦉💙 They came out strong and swept the PTAA Panthers, winning all three basketball games. So proud of the effort and teamwork. 👏🏀
