Please note that Yantis ISD will not have school on Monday, January 20th in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr Day. Homecoming fun and festivities will start on Tuesday.

Due to our area's forecast of sleet and snow, Yantis ISD will cancel school on Thursday, January 9th, and Friday, January 10th. The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority, and we believe this decision is in the best interest of everyone.

Welcome Back to the 2025 Spring Semester. We hope that you and your families have enjoyed your time off but are ready to get back into the routine of school. We have missed you all! Here are some important reminders for the second semester: Monday, January 6th - No school for students, Staff Inservice Day Tuesday, January 7th - Students return and the Third Nine Weeks Begins. Tardy Bell rings at 7:50am Friday, January 10 - Yantis Elementary Lunch will be closed to visitors as we get back into our school routines. We are looking forward to greeting all of our students back to campus on Tuesday, January 7th.

Start the New Year out right by coming out and supporting your Yantis Owls take on Fate PTAA Panthers, Friday night at 5:30 PM. The JV boys will play first, followed by the Varsity boys.

Parents - There are signs of smoke in the Elementary School and alarms have gone off. All students are safe in the gym and will be released from the cafeteria. Buses will run as usual. The Yantis Fire Dept is here now.

It is hard to imagine that we are at the end of the 1st semester! Tomorrow is early release at 12 noon and then we will see you back on Tuesday, January 7th .

Yantis Elementary had so much fun spending the day together at the Lake County Theater in Mineola! We laughed, sang Christmas carols, and enjoyed popcorn and refreshments! Thank you, Y.E.S. families, for sharing your students with us! We want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
