Yantis Golf Team participated in a tournament this week that consisted of 25 schools. Ava Halbert competed in her 2nd tournament and in the individual group she tied for 2nd. Ashton Rodriguez, Wade Batchelor, CJ Madison, Justice Vivion, and Jorie Quinn competed as a team on the 2nd day with over 130 golfers. This is the first time for 2 of the golfers to compete and the team finished in the middle of the pack. Our next tournament will be District in April. I am very proud of how well the boys played and showed their determination to finish strong after a long day. - Mrs. Bellows

Yantis 12 Fruitvale 2 We had an awesome night at the ballpark! It was incredible to see so many Yantis fans for a road game! Coach Lopez and I are extremely proud of the way our boys played and carried themselves throughout the game. #Together #WeBeforeMe CJ Madison earned the win for Yantis Varsity Owls. He surrendered one hit and zero runs over three and one-third innings, striking out nine and walking two. The Yantis Owls got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after CJ hit a single and scored a run. Tyler Jenkins drew a walk, scoring one run, Alex Vasquez homered to center field driving in Ashton Rodriquez scoring 2 runs, Wade Batchelor drew a walk, scoring one run. Tyler Jenkins appeared in relief for CJ throwing well giving up one earned run. Multiple outs were recorded by Justice Vivion on first base. Madison led Yantis Varsity Owls with two hits in two at bats from the leadoff position. Vasquez and Ashton Rodriquez each drove in multiple runs. Andy Sanchez had two walks and put the ball in play once. Justice had a single for a base hit to centerfield. The team had patience at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game. Rodriquez, Batchelor, Madison, Kennemore, Jenkins, and the Robert’s twins each stole multiple bases. Our Owls stole 24 bases in the game. We look forward to seeing you at the ballpark park!
