School Lunch Hero Day ~ 5/2/25

Today, Yantis ISD proudly celebrates our two incredible principals for their dedication, leadership, and passion for education.

Due to the predicted severe weather that could impact our district at dismissal time, we will be releasing school at 1:00 PM today to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

We are watching the weather updates closely and will let you know if any schedule changes are made.

Yantis ISD would like to inform our community that there was a minor car accident off campus during dismissal. Yantis ISD Chief of Police, along with DPS and EMT responded to assist. We want to assure everyone that there is no danger on campus. Thank you to all who responded swiftly.

The outpouring of love from our school and surrounding communities has been truly amazing, and it is a testament to the strength and compassion that surrounds us. More than a game... Tonight, two teams, the Yantis Owls, and Cumby Trojans, came together on the field—not just as competitors, but as one baseball family—to pray and play for Wade Batchelor, #41. Before the first pitch, both teams joined in a powerful moment of prayer, standing united for Wade as he recovers. It was a reminder that while we may wear different jerseys, we stand together when it matters most. We’re all playing for you, Wade. #wadethruthestorm

T-shirt benefit for Yantis Junior, Wade Batchelor! As many of you know, Wade is currently recovering from a serious spinal injury and has a long journey ahead. To help support him and his family we are selling T-shirts, created in his honor. Proceeds will go directly toward his recovery and medical expenses.
